In 2020, the Calabro Residence in Strathfield took out the Master Builders Association Award for Residential Contract Houses $7–$8 Million. Built by Komplete Construction, with LF Construction Services delivering the carpentry and joinery, this project blends architectural vision with precision craftsmanship to create a home of understated elegance.
Refined Exterior Detailing
While the exterior presents a clean, contemporary form, it conceals a complex build process. The façade combines off-form concrete, tiles, stone, and zinc cladding—materials chosen not only for their aesthetic impact but also for their exceptional finish quality. Each element was meticulously integrated to achieve the architect’s desired look, with no compromise on detail.
Precision from Structure to Finish
One of the project’s key challenges was constructing the internal staircase during the main build, ensuring the final stairwell retained its designed appearance.
